Q – Can I bring my dog with me to the Shipwreck Treasure Museum?

Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome to explore the Shipwreck Treasure Museum with you.

Q – How long does it take to explore the Shipwreck Treasure Museum?

We find most of our visitors spend approximately one hour to one hour and thirty minutes exploring the Shipwreck Treasure Museum.

Q – Is there any onsite parking at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum?

Unfortunately, there is no onsite parking, but we’re located a short distance away from the main Charlestown carpark.

Q -How can I pay at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum

We accept cash, along with all major debit and credit cards.

 

Q – Do I need to book in advance of visiting the Shipwreck Treasure Museum?

It is currently not necessary to book tickets in advance of your visit.

Some special events may require purchasing a ticket online in advance.

Q - Do you offer concessions at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum?

We do not offer concessions at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum, however, children under the age 5 are free of charge and tickets for children aged 5-17 are discounted.

Q - Can I change the date of my visit?

If you are unable to make the date and/or time of your visit, you may request a transfer to an alternative date and/or time.

Requests must be made at least 7 days in advance of your visit and transfers will be subject to availability.

Q - Do you issue refunds?

We do not issue refunds once tickets have been purchased.

If you are unable to attend your visit, you may request a transfer to an alternative date, subject to availability.

If you miss your pre-booked visit, a refund will not be issued.

Q - I need a Carer/Personal Assistant - How can I book this and what do I need to bring with me?

Where a visitor requires a carer/personal assistant, the carer/personal assistant will be permitted free of charge. If this is the case, please select complimentary Personal Assistant tickets upon booking. Proof of entitlement to this service may be requested on arrival at the museum.

Please find below documentation which will be required:

  • Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded.
  • Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance letter of award.
  • A valid Blue Badge
  • An Access or recognised Carer’s Card
  • In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI)
  • A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card
